A man on a motorbike has opened fire outside a Jewish school in France, killing one adult and two children, a police source has said.
At least five more people were injured in the attack, which occurred as students were arriving for morning classes at the Ozar Hatorah school, a city official told Reuters.
A teacher and his son are believed to be among the dead, French television reports. The city is now said to be in lockdown as police hunt the gunman.
Toulouse prosecutor Michel Valet told the Associated Press there were "several dead" in the shooting. He said it was unclear whether the victims were children or adults.
The attack comes just days after two other incidents in which soldiers were gunned down by a man on a motorbike in the same region.
Interior Minister Claude Gueant has ordered security to be tightened around all French Jewish schools after the attack. French President Nicolas Sarkozy has expressed his horror at the attack, with a Jewish group telling AFP that he is due to visit the school.
Shooting has broken out at a Jewish school in south-west France, police have said.
