Dane Bowers Addresses Arrest On Suspicion Of Conspiracy To Rape
A publicist for British singer Dane Bowers
has spoken out following the star's arrest on suspicion of conspiracy to
rape, insisting he "completely rejects" the allegations which have
caused him "considerable upset".
The former Another Level star, 32, attended Hatfield police station in England on Tuesday (03Apr12) by prior appointment after a woman claimed he attacked her in a hotel room in the early hours of Saturday (31Mar12).
Bowers was accused of conspiracy to rape, while a friend was quizzed on suspicion of rape. Both men were bailed until 14 May (12).
And the star is confident the matter will be dismissed following a police investigation.
His spokesman tells Britain's Daily Mail Online, "Dane completely rejects these unfounded accusations and is extremely confident that the matter will not proceed any further once a full investigation has taken place.
"The whole incident has caused considerable upset to Dane and his family."
