The Gladiator actor’s separation from singer Danielle Spencer, 43, after nine years of marriage was said to be amicable.
The pair have two sons, Charles, eight, and six-year-old Tennyson.
Crowe, 48, is in the US filming biblical epic Noah.
The couple faced rumours about their relationship in June when Spencer was pictured on a night out with Damian Whitewood, her dance partner from Australia’s Dancing with the Stars.
