Taylor Swift 'planned One Direction date'

Taylor Swift reportedly asked a member of One Direction out to dinner.

The American country singer and the teenage heartthrobs performed at the BBC Radio One Teen Awards on Sunday.

The band, consisting of Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson, scored three awards at the ceremony - and apparently also a date with Taylor.

The 22-year-old beauty supposedly booked a table at the five-star Luton Hoo Hotel, but cancelled it at the last minute to jet back to the US.
"Taylor's team whisked her off to Luton after the awards. She had a private jet at Luton Airport ready to take her back to the US at 10pm," a source told British newspaper The Sun.

"All her staff were told she was having a private dinner with one of the guys from One Direction. It was all cancelled abruptly, and nothing more was said."

Taylor is in a relationship with Conor Kennedy, which might explain her sudden departure.
Zayn and Louis both have girlfriends, and serial romancer Harry has declared "it wasn't me", when asked about the mystery dinner date.

Newly single Liam has been linked to British X Factor winner Leona Lewis, while Niall is supposedly dating X Factor US judge Demi Lovato.

Demi and Niall have enjoyed several dinner dates and often catch up on Skype.
It has been reported the singer-and-actress is happy to discuss her feelings for the star.

"Demi's told the guys backstage she and Niall are loosely dating - it's casual but they are definitely dating, albeit long-distance," a source told British newspaper The Mirror.

Demi recently said Niall "has a lot of great qualities," and that she has "a little crush on him".
