The Wanted "Mobbed" By Only A Few Fans in USA

They're not exactly One Direction! Brit boyband The Wanted 'mobbed' by only a few fans as they try and break the States

The Wanted has been trying to take over the US charts for some time now, but it seems they're still miles behind on that other British boyband: One Direction.
Max George, Nathan Sykes, Tom Parker, Jay McGuiness and Siva Kaneswaran were spotted outside their hotel room in Los Angeles on Wednesday chatting to a few female fans before heading off to a photo shoot.
A handful of teenage girls gathered outside their hotel and the five lads from the UK were more than happy to sign a few autographs and pose for pictures.

But it is a far cry from the 15,000 screaming fans that camped for up to five days in New York to try and catch a glimpse of One Direction as they performed at the Today show.
The Wanted traveled across the pond earlier this year to try and boast their career, which saw them land on number three in the US charts with their hit single 'Glad You Came'.
They also revealed they are in talks of starring in their own reality TV show, similar to the series girl band The Saturdays have recently been filming in LA.

But despite the top three hit and possible TV show, The Wanted recently revealed an accountant told them they have run out of funds and are essentially 'broke'.
Speaking about the meeting, Jay said: 'It was so depressing. It took him two hours to say: "Boys, you're skint".'
The financial setback has only reignited the rivalry between the two boybands, as massively popular One Direction was recently reported to be worth £26 million.

Max added: 'They are worth millions. We're not.'
Max has also been in a war of words with One Direction's Louis Tomlison, which has seen the two going back and forth insulting each other in interviews.
It all started with Max telling a newspaper about their relationship with the popular boyband: 'We're not the best of friends, so it's not like we are going to go up and start hugging and kissing.'

'And they make little comments in interviews when we're mentioned. But they're young, and that's expected, and I laugh at it. If they're taking it seriously, then maybe that's just an age thing.'
Louis responded, telling Now magazine: 'I just think, "If you want to create that rivalry, then let's do it." We're not bothered about the friction or the rivalry.'
'But I'm not going to shy away from it because that isn't the person I am. I don't think it's fair to me or any of the lads.'
