'Whitney Houston's drug dealer cleared hotel room of traces of drug' - US claim

Singer Whitney Houston looks on on the German TV game show "Wetten Dass" (Bet it...?) in Freiburg

Whitney Houston’s drug dealer spent the minutes after her death clearing all traces of cocaine from her hotel room, it is claimed.
The revelation came as a toxicology report proved there was cocaine in her body on the night she died in a bath in Beverly Hills.
A Coroner’s Office report said Houston, 48, took the drug “immediately prior to her collapse”.

It said belongings such as bedding were taken moments after her death but before police arrived on February 11.

Website TMZ claimed the person who cleared the room was her dealer.
Police are thought to be probing claims of evidence tampering as relatives call for an arrest.
Meanwhile officials say the release of the full post-mortem report may offer more clues about whether Houston suffered a heart attack before she drowned.

Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter said details in the report may include test results and physical descriptions of the singer's heart which will show whether she suffered a heart attack.
Houston's death has been ruled an accidental drowning, with heart disease and cocaine use listed as contributory factors.

The full report is expected to be released in a few weeks.
It will reveal the levels of cocaine and its by-products that were found in the singer's system when she died in the bath at a hotel on February 11, ahead of the Grammy Awards.
Beverly Hills police will use the coroner's full findings to complete their investigation.
