MK1 Get The X Factor Boot

Urban act face Kye Sones in the sing-off as result reaches deadlock again...

Urban duo MK1 became the third act to get The X Factor axe this week, after a tough sing-off with former chimney sweep Kye Sones.

The group did their best with an emotional version of The Script's The Man Who Can't Be Moved, while Kye Sones also put in a heartfelt performance of Adele hit I Can't Make You Love Me.
Judge Gary Barlow admitted it was "one of the best sing-offs I've ever seen" - but when it came to a decision, he opted for his own act, Kye, who he said was "the reason I wanted this category".
As groups mentor, Louis Walsh voted to save MK1, but Nicole Scherzinger and Tulisa were split. The ex-Pussycat Doll chose to save Kye, but T insisted she should "stick up for my urban N-Dubz roots", taking the result to deadlock for the third time this series.

And despite a poor performance last week, Kye proved more popular with the public.
Louis described MK1 as "brilliant to work with" and urged someone to sign them to a record deal - and rapper Simeon Nixon said that, as an urban act, what he and Charlotte Rundle had achieved was "amazing", and the pair vowed to "keep going".

While MK1 lost their place in the competition, the early series favourites shone on Club Classics night.
Ella Henderson can do little wrong, despite being criticised by Gary over her dance moves to You've Got The Love, and Jahmene overcame an emotional week, his rendition of Aretha Franklin's Say A Little Prayer going down a hit with the audience.

But the standout performance of this week's live shows came from James Arthur. After his acoustic rendition of LMFAO's Sexy And I Know It, Gary Barlow gushed: "Amazing, absolutely amazing.
"You turned that song on its head and you gave those stupid lyrics meaning. This wasn't only the performance of the night but of the series so far."

Also singing live on the results show were Labrinth and Emeli Sandé, as well as former X Factor contestants JLS, who performed their new single Hottest Girl In The World.
