Lindsay Lohan 'to be charged with lying to police and could face jail'

Um, at least she has plenty of court outfits to choose from if it does come to that?

If you thought that writing celebrity news was easy peasy, then you were wrong, friends. Wrong. Keeping up with Lindsay Lohan's life on a day to day basis is difficult enough as it is - throw in all the court jargon, previous charges and press accusations and you've got yourself a legal minefield! Easily more complicated than maths.
And the latest allegations emerging from the US are that Lindsay is set to be charged with the crime of lying to police after her car accident in June.
According to TMZ, multiple witnesses are claiming that Lindsay WAS driving her Porsche when it hit an 18-wheeler (or massive lorry, in English), even though she told the police that she was NOT. Read more about the accident back in June here.
Law enforcement sources have reportedly told the American website that the case will be filed as a misdemeanor, which could cause pretty huge problems for the ginger star.

Although lots of Lindsay's court drama drew to a close earlier this year, she is still on probation over a jewellery theft case, with the terms stating that she must obey all laws at all times.
If the claims are true and Lindsay did lie to the police, her probation may be violated and the judge could send her to jail.

TMZ also alleges that Lindsay was found with prescription pills in her purse and boot of her car following the accident on the Pacific Coast Highway, but she avoided drugs charges after her lawyer proved that the medication was properly prescribed by the doctor.
Sigh. Forget about how much Lindsay may or may not be upsetting the US court system, spare a thought for us poor gossip journalists. We weren't cut out for all this - we just want to write about boobies and One Direction.
