Known as Beckingham Palace, the 17 acre estate features a heli-pad, petting zoo, recording studios and swimming pools. It is believed that Kim is keen to snap up the £18 million property to keep as a European base for herself and her family, including her sisters Kourtney and Khloe.
According to The Sun, the reality TV beauty, who is currently going through a divorce battle with estranged husband Kris Humphries, is planning on renting the mansion out to fans of David's when she's not there.
With the Beckham's reportedly wanting to sever ties with the UK as the reason for selling up the house they
bought in 1999 shortly after getting married, a source told the Mirror:
"David and Victoria have been wanting to sell up for a couple of years now but the timing was never right. They didn't want to lose money, putting their homes up for sale during a slump in the property market.
"So, after getting it valued two years ago, decided to hold off until now. They don't need the money, as such, but no longer use either place and realise in this current climate it's crazy to effectively throw cash away."
"The Beckhams have made Los Angeles their home, and the kids are settled there", the source added.
