Madonna has made peace with Deadmau5 after a comment she made at the Ultra Music Festival in Miami led to him launching a sweary rant on Twitter.

The dance music producer, whose real name is Joel Zimmerman, took issue with Madge asking "How many people in this crowd have seen Molly?" as she introduced Avicii. Molly is slang for the drug MDMA.
He vented on Facebook: "Very classy there Madonna. 'HUR DUR HAS ANYONE SEEN MOLLY???' Such a great message for the young music lovers at Ultra.

"Quite the f'n philanthropist. But hey, at least yer HIP AND TRENDY! F***ing cant smack my head hard enough right now.

"Seriously, I giveth not a f**king single F**K for slating on Madonna for reaching an entirely NEW level of idiocy ... i can appriciate her meteoric career, and all good deeds done, but WHAT THE F**K WAS THAT?

"That's your big contribution to EDM? Thats your big message to ultra attendies? Hipsterspeak for looking for drugs? F**k off you f***ing IDIOT. F**k."
And the 31-year-old took his grievance directly to Madonna, whose new album is called MDNA, as she held a Twitter Q&A.

He said: "You're a role model to 100's of millions. You have a powerful voice, EDM could use your positive influence, not "molly" talk."

In reply she posted a picture of herself in Minnie Mouse ears with the caption: "From one mouse to another, I don't support drug use and I never have. I was referring to the song 'Have You Seen Molly?', written by my friend Cedric Gervais who I almost worked with on my album."

This appeared to placate Deadmau5, who responded: "fair enough, i was just voicing my concerns as i usually do. +1 respect for clearing it up personally."

To which Madge replied: "Communication is always best. You should have called me first, we could have cleared it up 'privately'. ;) See you on the road."
