A thug yesterday admitted blinding his lover in a sickening 12 hour attack.
Tina Nash, now 32, had her eyes gouged out and was brutally beaten in the assault last April.
Shane Jenkin admitted causing grievous bodily harm with intent and he will be sentenced next month by a judge at Truro Crown Court.
Mum of two Tina suffered a broken jaw and nose at Jenkin tried to suffocate her at her home in Hayle, Cornwall.
Her family claimed at the time that Jenkin was drunk when he turned up at her home and carried out the attack which went on all through the night.
Jenkin, now 33, was originally charged with attempted murder but that charge was reduced to causing grievous bodily harm with intent on the blonde.
Tina bravely attended the court hearing yesterday and heard that Jenkin will be sentenced next month. She was told that two psychiatrists will be present at that hearing.

Tina had her left eye surgically removed following the incident and doctors fought to save the sight in her right eye, but her family said that failed.
Tina, who has sons aged four and fourteen, spent weeks in hospital.
One relative said shortly after the attack as Tina recovered in hospital in Truro: "We are all still crying as we visit Tina but she is still making jokes.
"It's been very hard. We are a very close family and have been so shocked by what happened. It's like we are in a dream.
"Anyone you would ask about Tina would say she has lived life to the full. Everyone knows what a friendly girl she is. She was always cracking jokes, she still is.
"She is such a bubbly and outgoing person.
"Her great fear is someone coming up to her in the street and touching her because obviously if she doesn't know someone is about to do that, it will make her flinch.
"You've got to talk to her before you can touch her. Even with me, if i go to wipe her hair off her face, if I don't tell her she'll flinch because she doesn't know I'm doing it."
Friends of Tina have been fund raising for her in the west Cornwall area.
Pal Lisa Nicholls, from Penzance, said: "Tina can't thank everyone enough for their goodwill and all their messages. She is so overwhelmed.
"She keeps saying 'it's only me, it's only Tina'."
Jenkin, of Sea Lane, Hayle, Cornwall, has been remanded in custody since the attack and was sent back to jail to await the sentencing case.
