When Jade Ellis became the fourth contestant knocked out of the X Factor, she told Dermot O'Leary, the judges and the millions of viewers that her 'life starts here.'
And proving that her defeat in the live sing-off by boyband Union J wasn't going to stop her doing just that, the lilac-haired singer headed out for a night on the town with her supportive mentor in tow.
Tulisa who was visibly shocked and hurt when her contestant lost out made sure she was there to support Jade and help her dance the blues away on Sunday night.
Shoulder to cry on: Tuilsa helps her former contestant Jade Ellis enjoy a night on the town after suffering defeat on The X Factor results show on Sunday night
Commiserating... the Tulisa way! The X Factor judge didn't let the drama get her down as she hit the town with Jade
She brightened her face under her ebony locks with a flash of Barbie-pink lipstick. Tulisa finished off the look with a pair of peep-toe heels with cute bows on each toe.
Jade on the other had went for comfort over height in a pair of silver high top trainers that complemented her metallic mini-dress perfectly.
Like her mentor, the 25-year old mother of one grunged up her outfit with a leather jacket, but made sure she looked uber-feminine with a swoop of red lipstick.
Good night out: Tulisa has a dreamy look on her face, clearly having enjoyed her night at Aura Club in Mayfair
Urban gap: Jade's departure from the X Factor means she can start working on her solo material
Surely the two lads from one of the biggest boy-bands in the world would have had some words of advice for Jade, as they too failed to win the X Factor in their competition year.
X Factor boys: Former contestants and members of One Direction Zayn Malik and Niall Horan were also enjoying anight out at Aura nightclub
Giggles: The X Factor judge shares a joke with a friend as they leave the London nightclub
Helping hand: After a long day and night Tulisa gets some much needed support on the way to the taxi
Speaking before the X Factor Live Shows began, Jade said, 'there is a gap in the market for a young British female urban vocal.'
And it was her husky tones reminiscent of Mary J Blige that was praised week after week by the judges. But after a weak performance of the Sugababes' 'Freak Like Me', the singer found herself in the bottom two along with Union J.
What's so funny? The jokes don't end for Tulisa and her crew as she jumps in a taxi home
Bright-eyed: The long night out has barely registered on Jade's fresh face as she waits for the taxi to take her home
Bye Bye: Jade bids farewell to her X Factor mentor as she heads home in a separate taxi
But even with a fantastic rendition of Dido's White Flag, Jade failed to secure the Judges' support, with Gary Barlow saying that he thought 'he wanted it more for Jade than she did.'Jade shook her head when the Take That star uttered these words, but would not be knocked back by her ejection from the talent show, rather says she 'will continue to take steps to improve and grow.'
As the X Factor loser headed home for the night, she still had a beaming smile on her face.
Clearly her mentor had succeeded in helping Jade dance any blues away.
And when Tulisa herself made her exit, she too couldn't contain her happiness, as she exhibited a dreamy smile and continued to giggle all the way into the taxi.
Reunion: Alexandra Burke joined Jade and Tulisa along with Zayn Malik and Niall Horan from One Director at Aura
Dressed to impress: Alexandra showed off her curvy figure in the tight-fitting dress
